Throughout our body we have energy centres often referred to as chakras. These centres have their own level of consciousness, intelligence, light emission, and energy frequencies that carry a certain message for us. They are surrounded by individual glands, hormones and chemistry that control an individual plexus of neurons. You could say each chakra has a mind of their own, with their own colour frequency and wavelength. With conscious intent we can raise our energy to nurture our body, heartmind and spirit.

The colours of red, orange, and yellow represent our physical colours, associated with the processing of life, self survival and how we use our instincts to cope with the material world. Blue, indigo, and violet represent our spiritual colours, associated with the journey to enlightenment and fulfilment. Part of the goal in balancing our body, heartmind and spirit is to bring our physical journey and our spiritual journey together. To do this, come from the heart with the colour frequency of green.

The first centre is located in the region of our reproductive glands and has a frequency equivalent to the colour red. This frequency is the slowest and the most dense of all the colours, spinning at about 450 cycles per second. Therefore, it has the longest wavelength of all the colours of about 700 nanometres of visible light that is perceived by the human eye. When this centre is in balance, our creative energy flows easily and we tend to feel secure and grounded in our sexual identity.

It is where the majority of our feelgood hormones are located.
